Bullying has been a very hot topic recently. Parents, teachers and celebrities have come out with their advice and stories to try and stop severe bullying from occurring in schools. Also, although there are more people monitoring bullies in schools, the Internet is a whole new place for bullies to remain nameless and cause more pain. Here are some celebrities that have spoken up about their various experiences with bullies. Have you gone through similar experiences as they have? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

I was diagnosed with a disease at the age of nine that had me taking steroids which made me significantly overweight in a matter of months. Elementary school was tough for me. I started third grade a thin little girl as I had the years before and then all of the sudden I’m the most overweight child in the class. The teasing and bullying was constant all the way till Middle school when I was finally on remission and taken off the drugs and then the weight came off slowly but surely. I still struggle with my body image to this day, however I work on it and I do not tolerate it anymore. I’m happy to see others writing about this topic as its belittled so much today. Lets just give love and spread the word on this important topic and educate!
Here is the article I’ve written about bullying. I hope it helps many people: http://ilovernb1.tumblr.com/post/7311335825/no-to-bullying
A couple of years ago, my parents told me that when I was one year old, I got beaten up by my classmates. My parents pressed charges against the school and they won.
When I was 6, I was strangled by a classmate and it lasted for months. I can’t remember how it ended though.
When I was in secondary school and in high school, I was bullied but I was shy, so I spent most of my breaks reading books at the library. I didn’t’ have excellent grades (except in English), nor did I have low grades. I had average grades.
When I made my blog last year, I wrote an article regarding bullying. I can send it to people if they need it. I still don’t understand why bullying happens. We’re all humans and instead of hating each other regarding their skills/skin color…we should love one another and see what we can teach each other. We all have things to share, so let’s make that happen. It’s better and safer than bullying.
I was bullied up until I was 14 or 15, at first it was because I was so quiet and such an easy target, so they picked on my freckles (which I still hate, thanks assholes) and then when I got to about 10 or 11, it was my body, I wasn’t anywhere near being overweight, so I don’t understand it. I’m pretty sure the only reason it stopped when it did was because my cousin, who is a ‘popular’ girl started going to my school. I’m 19 and still have some social anxiety and body issues. Body issues aren’t all from the bullying, but it still hurt to be called fat at age 11.
Also, throughout grades 10-12 I was called a slut for no apparent reason, obviously by the girls who weren’t ‘in’ with my cousins group of friends. High school really screwed me up. I wish I never went, I have one friend left from it. I always wished I was home schooled because of the people at my schools.
I was bullied all through school. When I was younger like ages 5-8 kids used to tease me about, my right ear as it’s smaller then the other. I could get it fixed surgically. But I really don’t see the point not many people notice it any more. From the age of 9 till I went to High School I got teased and pushed around for being a bookworm. I didn’t have many friends at school back then so I spent most of my lunches in the Library.
Although I would have to say High School for me was the worst, my so called friends, started emailing, calling and IMing me saying I was worthless and no good for anyone. They would make fun of me in class because I was always the good student, I always sat up the front. I found out later it was because they thought I was too polite and nice. Which to this day even still blows my mind.
