Let me preface this introductory Send To Your Mom!! by saying one thing: I am not a huge cat fan. I am a dog person through and through and, if presented with the most adorable kitten and a barely tolerable puppy, I will pick that ugly, insufferable little Cujo up faster than you can purr, “But cats are litter box trained!!” at me. Still, this video could turn anyone’s heart of stone to melting chocolate in seconds!
For the past week, a video has been popping up all over my Facebook page and has picked up so much steam that I actually had to watch it. Usually I find that spamming must be afoot when most people are posting the same video or photo: said video of woman vomiting on a roller coaster or said photo of a dog nursing lion cubs always ends with your computer shutting itself off and you having to visit the Genius Bar. But not with one video: Cat Mom Hugs Baby Kitten.
The quick, minute-long video is about napping animals (cute!) taking on human traits (adorable!). It does not get any better than that, folks. You have flashes of Not Without My Daughter and Milo and Otis, except minus Otis and plus a larger brown and black Mother Milo. The results will tug at your heartstrings and remind you of the little beauties on this planet.
And as far as sending this to your mother goes, expect your mother to call you within minutes, crying, blubbering on and on about how you, ages ago, were the little baby kitten and she was the consoling big cat mom. Even though you’re an adult, this will strike your mother’s maternal heartstrings, bringing about the same reaction as a read of I Love You Forever has on a mother.
