There was a point in time when it seemed like the barefoot Cheeto Queen may never reclaim her true title as our beloved Princess of Pop. A time when the paps were her friends and the electric razor was not. A time when “Oops … She Did it Again” headlines were a dime a dozen and Britney Spears’ mind, body and soul were a hot, hot mess.
But now she’s stronger than yesterday. Now it’s nothing but her way. Her loneliness ain’t killin’ her no more. And as of late, she has yoga to thank.
Brit-Brit went to chit-chat with Ryan Seacrest recently and told the On Air host,
“I love my yoga! I’m doing a lot of yoga right now. It’s like my go-to between all anxiety and everything.”
Spears, who is on the cover of this month’s Shape magazine (and on the inside with an exclusive yoga routine), went on to say,
“The first time I did yoga I didn’t like it at all. I think the key is finding a good teacher, someone you kind of connect with and if you do find that person then it doesn’t feel like you’re bored or impatient because I’ve been in tons of classes where I’m so over it and I can’t deal and want it to end, but I think if you find the right instructor, it does wonders for your body.”
She speaks the truth (THOSE ABS). The wrong kind of teacher can totally ruin a class for you, no matter how long you’ve been a mindful yogi. Good for her. It’s about time she found something non-Frappy to bring a little peace to her day.
