Very, very well said.

So well said in fact, that it answers my inner question of: Why is the heading of this column "Let's Get Political", but the OP, who claims to be liberal, will not reply to you.

Fear of being wrong?

Men that fear their wife? Well that doesn't fit into the narrow limiting feminist gender narrative, so...sexist! Hillary Clinton not caring about dead men in combat, well as a feminist her dogmatic beliefs lead her to conclude "women are the "primary" victims of war" so I'm not surprised. Male politicians that drop the ball=accountable for their actions. Female politicians that drop the ball= "Victims of sexism"

Well...
I'm not going to argue politics here. I enjoy Zooey's work and I'm looking forward to the new She & Him in the Spring.

I will say this: Ms Tholmer was likely not as offended with the rocks hurled at Sarah Palin - which is not to say Mrs Palin didn't deserve it. Who knows?

What I believe is the much bigger issue here is the death of 4 Americans under Clinton's watch and the clear attempt to spin what caused the effect. And yes, Ms Tholmer, you'd have to been an extremist to overlook the cover up. It was/is real.

Still, this writer's angle of choice was to become offended by an opinion piece rather than write something that matters.

Tholmer, we see your agenda, ma'am...

I am sorry I am completely appalled by this. I am a conservative, more of the the constitutional brand or libertarian-leaning rather than a social conservative, and am a woman who works in a traditionally male role--i am in medical school and am trying desperately to fight my way into surgery. Why do you label everything that has ever been printed by something rupert murdoch owns as "right-wing based" when you do not do the same about george soros's publications? What are these offensive stances that fox news has taken? How is the other side NEVER represented? because when I get up in the morning and flip on the news, i see every conservative argument debated by a liberal like kirsten powers, juan williams, or bob beckel. Also, while I have always sympathized with the way hillary has been attacked for being over-ly masculine, i am equally appalled when i see the left paint conservative women as stupid, doe-eyed sex objects that do their husbands bidding (palin, anne romney, et cetera). The fact is, DESPITE my having been born a women, i am FAR MORE OFFENDED by clinton's cavalier treatment of the 4 american deaths in bengazi, the way the american public was mislead by the white house and the state department, and the way her hearings were put off for MONTHS for something, medically speaking, your average 6th grader would have to show up on school monday for. Just because I am a women who hates to see people categorize clinton as "shrill" (and believe me, the obama fans did so just as often during the 2008 election up her in chicago) does not mean I am also not enraged by her ineptitude, narcissism, and insensitivity. Essentially, I divide myself as a human being first, an american second, and a women THIRD. Please, put your priorities back in line and stop pretending you are being fair to both sides.
