Have you guys heard of Facebook? Yeah, I guess it’s like this new website that lets you build profiles and stuff. Weird, I know. Since its creation, Facebook has had facelift after facelift. The way we interact has changed in a major way, as well. There are now videos and Facebook emoticons and emojis. It’s bizarre. About a year or so ago, Facebook acquired another hot app that helps us connect, Instagram. But don’t worry, y’all, FB isn’t stopping there.

Facebook is currently in talks to buy Waze. You may or may not have used Waze. It’s an app that allows you to beat the traffic, but it heavily depends on its users. Basically, you log into Waze and it tracks how fast you are moving in comparison to how fast you should be moving. It collects every single active user’s data and builds a complex traffic map. Then it navigates its way out of traffic for you. I’ve used it a few times and have had mixed results. Sometimes it isn’t very helpful, sometimes it is.

If Facebook were to purchase the app, it could probably be a good thing. Maybe more people would use it and then the traffic mapping would be better. I’m not entirely sure. But it got me thinking: What else might Facebook buy in the future?

I was definitely not a business major in college, but I decided to make a list of 5 apps I imagine Facebook will try to purchase in the near future, even if that app doesn’t exist right now.

1. Vine

Let’s face it y’all, this app is POPPIN. It seems like overnight everyone and their MOM had joined Vine and was posting videos of their cats chasing a string around their apartment. Vine is the new form of social expression. You can post your video to Facebook so they might as well just go on and buy it!

2. Uber

Just listen to this plan: Uber lets you find a cab in your area, right? Well what if it teamed with Facebook to also locate friends who might want to split that cab with you? LIKE, COME ON. Fool-proof plan!! You put in your location, it says there is a cab five minutes away and your friend Kelly is just one block away ALSO LOOKING FOR A CAB! You are welcome, world.

3. Snapchat

I’m not entirely sure how teaming with Facebook could make this world any better, but I think it is a good financial decision. Snapchat, like Vine, is hot, new and cool! I’m sure Facebook could make a great deal of money from buying this app and covering it with advertisements or something. I don’t know. I didn’t go to business school. I don’t understand these things.

4. A social healthy living app

I am always convinced that my plans to be healthy wouldn’t fail if there was someone there to hold my hand. But I also hate when people hold my hand and am a troll of the web. So I don’t exactly want to leave the comforts of my cellphone for positive reinforcement. Instead, I would love to join some sort of anonymous app where I can be in a little support group that tells me what I am supposed to eat to stay healthy and tells me I’m awesome. Sort of like the ‘Couch to 5K’ app!

5. An app that compiles adorable yet hilarious cat gifs/memes

This is exactly what the world needs. I’m sure this exists SOMEWHERE! I just couldn’t find it. I love cat memes/gifs. They are amazing and they make my insides hurt from happiness. I would love an app that just collects all of them from every different blog/website/etc. and puts them into one feed for me to scroll through endlessly. To me that is heaven. And I think it would be very successful!

So there you have it! Facebook, just, like, inbox me for my address to mail the check! You’re welcome!!!!

Recently, Tori Spelling sat down to celebrate the upcoming 20th anniversary of the very famous “Donna Martin Graduates” episode of Beverly Hills, 90210. The episode, titled ‘Something in the Air,’ premiered on May 12, 1993. You might remember: All of the students rallied together to overturn the school board’s ruling that Donna could not graduate. They began the famous chant ‘Donna Martin Graduates!’ Can you believe that was 20 years ago? This anniversary sparked me to look back in the TV time machine and see how long ago some of my favorite TV moments occurred.

Some of you may love Leonardo DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby in the newest summer blockbuster, or even as Jack Dawson in the Oscar Award Winning Titanic, but my favorite Leo role was way back in 1991. Sure, it may have been a year before I was born, but I still love the reruns. You might remember the September 28, 1991 episode of Growing Pains ‘In Vino Veritas,’ when homeless student Luke Bower moves in with the Seaver family. The new family had their ‘growing pains,’ but they eventually learned to love one another and moved to D.C.!

This couple made me believe in love. Let me cut right to the chase: On October 15, 1993, Cory and Topanga shared their first kiss in ‘Cory’s Alternative Friends.’ It was young and innocent. In episodes to come, they fought, they cried, but most importantly they loved one another unconditionally. I think the rest is history. Which brings me to my next favorite moment…

Image via

The November 5, 1999 episode of Boy Meets World, ‘It’s About Time’, saw Cory and Topanga’s long awaited nuptials. It was a rough six year journey for these guys. Topanga’s parents even changed identities!! Stuff got REAL. We all feared they might not make it. Okay, no one really feared that. But after that ski trip, or even Topanga’s parents divorce, I was kind of worried! Luckily, they tied the knot and apparently had a daughter! Can’t wait to see how the family is doing in Girl Meets World.

This might not have been a major moment for most of you, but it’s something that always stands out in my mind. You know: Ross and those damn leather pants! In ‘The One with All the Resolutions’, the Friends gang decided to make some serious, life-changing decisions. Well, Ross decided to wear leather pants. And on January 7, 1999 he made the very sweaty mistake of taking them off to go the bathroom. They got stuck and he found himself in a very uncomfortable situation. It all worked out and five years later, Rachel got off the plane!

Image via

Val married Vic for real on March 24, 2006 in the series finale of What I Like About You. In ‘Finally,’ Val and Vic tied the knot. But more importantly, one of my favorite TV couples, Holly and Vince, decided to give love one last chance! The on-again, off-again couple got back together for good and I was able to breathe a sigh of relief. That is one show I would LOVE a revival of!!!!

It’s about to get real sad, y’all. On March 1, 2006 in ‘With Tired Eyes, Tired Minds, Tired Souls, We Slept’, Keith Scott, Lucas’ uncle/adoptive father, was shot by his brother on quite possibly the saddest episode of One Tree Hill known to man. I can remember the debates that followed. “Did the bullet hit him or not? Maybe it went over his head? KEITH CAN’T BE DEAD!!!!!!!!!” That was the worst week ever and the episodes to follow, oh boy, can you say TISSUE FEST?!

Image via

So there you have it—some of my favorite TV moments. There are plenty more so feel free to share them below, on our Facebook or Twitter! And keep making those TV memories!!

I’m always skeptical when a book I love gets made into a movie. And The Great Gatsby was my favorite book in high school (just like ever other angsty tween). When the new movie came out today, I tured to the internet as a guiding green light. Should I see it?

I was surprised how many people were outraged The Great Gatsby was being made as a movie. Does no one realize that already happened in 1974 and starred a GORGEOUS Robert Redford? One look of that god in a bathing suit and you’ll be asking, “Leonardo who?”

Twitter seemed to have mixed reviews. Some people loved the movie, some people hated it and some loved to talk about how much they hate that people either loved or hated it. I have tickets to see The Great Gatsby tonight, so I supposed I will let you know how I feel tonight.

While you are waiting for my verdict, here is what the twitter community has to say about the F. Scott Fitzgerald classic.

My friend Lucia first introduced me to Snapchat over winter break. She is kind of my go to for any cool apps seeing as she seems to always know about anything before anyone else. (how you do dat, Looch?) Snapchat is this totally awesome app…

h/o I’m getting a pic….lol omg

…k where was I? Right, okay. Snapchat is an app that lets you send pics of your face to your friends!!!! Cause I mean, like, WHO ISN’T DYING TO DO THAT? It really is that simple. Just snap a picture of your face or your cat or that crazy boy in your class you’ve been dying to tell your friends about!

Down in the right hand corner you pick how many seconds you want the photo to last on your friend’s screen:

Just tap in the center of the screen and you can add a personal message:

You can use this weird paint thing to draw on top of the picture like so:

Then you just go to your list of friends, pick which one you want to send it to, press send and it’s off!

You pick the amount of seconds because the photo is supposed to be deleted from their screen forever once time runs out. And there was this rumor that you couldn’t take screenshots, but I’ve totally done it. Basically, this app was invented for sexting. I don’t care what the creators say (they’ve vehemently denied these claims) – it clearly was. Why else would anyone want to send time-restricted images that can’t be saved?

Or can they? A team of digital forensic investigators figured out how to extract the images from not only the app, but also your phone’s memory. (K COOL! Good thing I’ve never sent a nude!!!)

That might be a major bummer for all the sexters out there, but I’m not convinced it will stop teens from loving it. Frankly, I don’t think it’s just teens. I’m almost 21 and can’t get enough if it. Yeah, yeah. I am very close to the “teen” demographic, but I used to work in an office with people in their 30s and 40s and once they discovered the app, they would Snapchat each other at work, even when some were sitting right next to one another. (It was kind of weird, but w/e.)

I’m not entirely sure the deletable aspect is what makes it so addicting. Then again, I’m not entirely sure what does. Sure, I could just text my friend a picture of my face, but there is something about doing it through Snapchat that gives me endless LOLs. In this technology obsessed world where I can no longer go to a party without live tweeting my social anxiety, I enjoy the personal(?) face-to-face, even if it’s through a frozen image.

Another huge part is the fad. I can remember when my friends wouldn’t stop playing Angry Birds even if you offered them $100. I see the same thing happening right now with Vine. Why do I need to see six seconds of you walking your dog? I don’t. But I want to. We just like things that are new and popular and kind of weird, especially those apps that allow us to express ourselves or be oddly voyeuristic.

Then, there’s the whole not-so-secret narcissist side of our personalities. Truth: I stalk myself on Facebook even more than I do my ex—and that is saying a lot! Twitter’s an excuse to say, “Look at me!! I’m like super funny/adorable!” Some might argue Instagram is the photo version of that—“I’m super artsy/hipster and thought of a witty caption.” Snapchat is the selfie Instagram that only a few people get to see. So instead of being judged by all your followers for being “that girl” (I’m that girl), you can shamelessly send all the pictures of yourself that you want, cause the recipient is probably doing the same.

The craze around Snapchat will surely fade. But, I don’t think it’ll have anything to do with the images being uncoverable, especially because I don’t know anyone willing to spend $300-$500 just to extract embarrassing photos of their friends. (Unless any of your friends seriously plan on running for president, in which case it’s prob a sound investment.)

So snap away!! Just remember: Snapchatting is like pooping. We all do it, but most don’t want to watch you do it. Honestly though, watching someone Snapchat is the most bizarre thing. Just ask the stranger sitting next to me who watched as I took all the photos above.

You may have read a few days back that I go absolutely crazy for cat memes, but my first true love is dogs. Honestly, folks, I like dogs more than people. It’s just fact. I have serious potential of being an animal hoarder and I’ve alerted my friends to look out for signs.

Living in LA, you see so many of the same designer breeds. But popular breeds have the risk of being inbred, which can lead to lots of health and behavioral issues. Now, I’m no Cesar Milan or anything (I mean, let’s face it: He’s a god.) but I do my fair share of research about different dogs. I’ve created this list of 10 or so underrated canines you might want to consider.

Obviously, I am basing this off of their historical behavior. You should always do plenty of research about not only the breed, but also the particular breeder and family tree of your puppy. A breed could be great; a breeder could be not so great. You can always consult the AKC website for registered breeders, and I recommend visiting with both the puppies and parents a few times before making a decision.

For this list, I tried to pick low maintenance dogs when it comes to feeding, grooming or training that all have friendly temperaments. Keep in mind: All dogs have a tendency to be disobedient if they are not properly stimulated. I mixed in big, medium and little dogs who are all unique and bound to turn heads.

Of course, my favorite dogs have always been mutts. Adopting a dog is great thing! They generally come along with less health issues and have longer life spans. You can also easily visit a shelter and see how the dog behaves around you and your family, outside of its adorable puppy stage.

It was difficult picking just 10, so don’t be offended if your favorite dog isn’t on the list and please feel free to share comments and pics of your favorite dogs below or on twitter @HelloGiggles & @origToriqua!

Jump into the good ole celebrity gossip time machine with me for a second. The year is 2007 and everyone is going on and on about Britney Spears and the head shaving incident. A few months later, no one would stop talking about that awful ‘Gimme More’ performance on national television, and in between it seemed like the poor girl couldn’t step our of her house without ridicule.

I suppose it was only natural. She was kind of America’s sweetheart. Well, maybe that is a bit much. But she was charming, adorable Britney Spears! She went from Disney to ‘Baby One More Time’ to the oh-so-sexy ‘Slave for You’ bit with the snake. We watched her grow up and then we watched her spiral out of control. As much as we liked to read about her climb, the tabloids loved to talk about her decline.

Even after all her hair grew back, people were obsessed with photographing her every single move and commenting on her every inch of cellulite. But that was pre-Kim Kardashian.

Now every time I go to buy a pack of gum at CVS, I’m assaulted with images of “fat” Kim K and people barely seem to focus on Britney. There’s gossip about her I never realized went public because all eyes seem to be on dear Kim. And when it’s not Kim, it’s a Real Housewife admitting to bankruptcy or cheating or some other kind of mischief… leaving Brit the freedom to go to the gym in unflattering shorts.

The thing is: People were concerned about Britney like they are Amanda Bynes. She was a darling who seemed to turn overnight. Her fans and even her haters couldn’t stop watching, just like we all shamelessly can’t look away whenever we see police lights. But I’m not entirely sure that’s what happening with Kim.

I’d be willing to bet Kim has more haters than Britney ever had, and trust it’s the haters buying those magazines. It’s only human nature to want to see someone who’s so well-off suffer a little bit. And she’s a publicity machine. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s selling most of the stories that appear in the magazines, whereas I’m not entirely sure that was ever the case for Brit.

Quite honestly, I think the whole world of gossip has changed. So many reality TV stars are willing to open up and sell their darkest secrets to the highest bidder. They will give more info to a magazine than anyone could ever hope to get from Brit’s camp. So it’s no wonder she’s no longer selling magazines.

And Brit seems to have calmed down. She got that judging gig on X-Factor. She was engaged for a brief time and she gets along really well with her ex, K Fed. There isn’t really much juicy gossip there. I think people respect her for fighting through all those hard years and coming out with her head held high. No one wants to see her fail as much as they do Kim K. I’m not saying that’s right, but it certainly seems to be true.

After that ordeal around 2007, people are pleased to see Brit has her life together. Sure, maybe she isn’t the dancer or performer she used to be – I don’t think she’ll ever be back. But at least she has her head on straight. She seems to be living a normal life as a mom and a girlfriend. She doesn’t go on crazy social media rants or ask for the cameras to be pointed at her. I hate to say it, but she’s kind of boring in the way normal people are just sort of boring.

We’ve entered this new arena of reality TV that has totally changed the game. I know more about Brandy Glanville’s love life than I do most of my friends’. People are just really into sharing these days, I guess? So when info like that is flowing so freely, some leg fat seems pointless.

Part of me is kind of relieved that we seem to be giving attention only to those celebrities who want it and have stopped attacking those who want their private lives to remain private. As a reality TV star fan, I want to know more about the people who have already told me so much. I mean, I love me some Silver Linings Playbook, but I don’t care all that much about what Jennifer Lawrence did this weekend. Yet, I made sure to DVR the Ryan Seacrest Kardashian special.

There will always be another Britney Spears and eventually another Kim Kardashian. That is just how our society works. One train wreck rolls in after the other. We read about it for a few months until it becomes old news. In Kim’s case, she seems to have one juicy story after the next. That’s what’s kept her so relevant (and rich). You only have to care if you want to care. I’m glad we’ve left Britney alone to live her life! So keep doing you, girl. You drink those shaken iced teas. And tell Jayden “good luck” at his next soccer game for me!

I moved apartments over the weekend and lemme tell you, it was not fun. If you’ve moved, you know. If you haven’t, you aren’t missing much. Once the move was over, want to know the first thing I did? Went to the store and bought two 12-packs of Coca-Cola (they were on sale). I kid you not. I actually did this. Ask my roommate Jake. There is something so calming about Coke. It was like, once I had that can in my hand, the stress of moving had washed away. I sat down on our messy floor and said “Ahhhh!”

It’s no wonder Coca-Cola is launching their Ahh Effect campaign, because that is truly what Coke does for me. The Ahh Effect is exactly what makes nothing else quite like a Coke. They’ve even gone as far as owning every single form of Ahh online. Yup. That’s right. They’ve secured every URL from www.AHH.com to www.AHHHHHHHHHHHH + 50 (that’s 63 Hs in total!).

What else makes me go Ahh? That’d be Cat Memes. About a year ago, I interned at an ad company in Sydney. And all too often my boss would hear my chuckling over a cat meme I found online. I love cats so much, on my last day my boss gave me a card covered in cat memes she had printed from the web. For real, though! I dare you to look at a cat meme and not absolutely lose it!!

Which brings me to what exactly Coke is doing with all those URLs. On each page you will find different interactive games and experiences crafted to give you that Ahh feeling. So if you’re sick of trolling the web for entertainment, look no further than AHH.com or AHHH.com or AHHHHHHH.com. You get it.

Two of my personal faves would have to be Cats in Boxes and Cat or Not?

The first can be found at www.AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.com. Which is exactly what it sounds like. Cats climbing in, on and around Coke boxes. The videos play along to this mesmerizing techno beat. When you’re done with one gif, you hit meow and a new one appears.

The second is a bit more interactive. Cat or Not (AHHHHH.com) requires skill and focus. Photos of cats and things that aren’t cats flash across the screen. You have to determine which are cats and which aren’t! This one if a bit harder to master, but I’m working on my technique. It becomes an entertaining challenge that can last for hours if you want it to.

As a college student, with the weight of graduation on my shoulders, there is nothing I can use more than the chance to relax. I’m sure you could use some Ahh time, too. So why not crack over a can of Coke and take some time to figure out what makes you go Ahh?

We have collaborated with Coca-Cola to test out the Ahh Effect. All opinions are my own.

I grew up with Amanda Bynes and was in high school around the time Miley Cyrus became relevant. I would say I got to know the two pretty well over the course of their golden years on TV. But lately, my gal pals have been displaying some different social media activity than one might expect. But is it really cause for concern?

You know what? I’m kind of torn. One part of me says, “Your girl Amanda is acting kind of strange.” And the other part of me says, “You don’t know what happens behinds closed doors.” And it’s true; I really don’t.

I’m not that worried for Miley. In fact I think she’s just fine. Sure, she’s tryna get her Rihanna on and post some party pics on Instagram. Other than that, what’s the worst she’s done? Had her celebrity hairstylist give her an extremely trendy pixie cut? Honestly though! She didn’t pull a Brit and shave her head in the middle of the night. She just got a haircut. (I mean she CAN’T BE TAMED, y’all!)

Yes, yes. She seems to be doing her fair share of partying, but Miley and I are the same age and I don’t know many other 20-somethings who aren’t out doing the same thing. She just happens to have a lot more eyes on her. When she starts robbing banks or getting DUIs, then maybe I will show a bit of concern. But she seems to be doing all right for herself. And “Ashtrays & Heartbreaks” is my jam.

Amanda is the real question mark in my life. Manderz is maybe my favorite actress. I’m not saying that sarcastically. I know she’s never won an Oscar. But She’s The Man has been my favorite movie since the first time I saw it. I know all of the words and whenever I am in a bad mood, that movie does the trick. Even before that, I loved her on All That even though my parents thought her “Dear Amanda” sketch made me flip. And I watched What I Like About You religiously. The reruns still bring a smile to my face. In summary, I am a true Amanda Bynes fan.

So yeah, I was a little perplexed (to say the least) when she got that first DUI. And then even a bit more when the bizarre behavior followed. I still follow her on Twitter and I love her tweets, because most of them are pretty on point. Some of her twitpics make me scratch my head. But I’m not totally convinced she’s lost her marbles. For all I know, she could be planning the most successful PR scheme in years.

Let’s not forget that a few years ago, Charlie Sheen pulled a similar stunt with his #Winning and weird video rants. Talking about crazy Sheen was all the rage for a few months there. Then, we sort of moved on. Now, he is raking in the dough from his brand new show on FX and laughing at everyone who called him crazy. Maybe Amanda is bored and figured she’d screw with everyone’s heads?

Okay, okay. I know that is probably highly unlikely. But I can’t bring myself to judge her and say “Something’s definitely wrong!” when I can’t know for sure. It’s kind of none of my business even if she is crazy (which she maintains she is not). She seems with it enough to realize what people are saying about her. And I think I would be pretty pissed if the whole world were making claims about my mental health! Wouldn’t you?

Her “I need to lose weight” naked pics remind me of 13-year-olds on MySpace looking for people to say “OMG u r s0 skinii.” Her DUIs are concerning. Everything else is kind of up in the air. Truthfully, I never knew Amanda (even though I know we’d be BFFs). And I definitely don’t know her now. I think if I did know the back-story, I could be alarmed. But maybe she always had this wild side that never got out until now. Maybe she decided to retire and said “f*** it.” It’s not like she has much to lose.
