Actors Acting as Actors Need Awards Too! Rachel Roderman

Every year, the Emmy Awards honor the best acting on television. We’re only a few weeks away from the official nominee list, but rumor has it there’s a whole bunch of actors not even considered. A disgrace, I know. Who you ask? Only the best acting on television television! That’s right, I’m the actors we know and love who play characters playing actors. That’s so much acting and it ought to be honored. The only thing better than watching tv, is watching tv about a fake show on fake tv! Television for everyone! That is why I am proposing the following Fictional Emmy Awards and their respective winners. Plus, unlike the real Emmys, commericals and movie trailers can win awards too. Seriously, this is the best idea ever.

And the awards go to…

BEST AWKWARD ACTING IN A FICTIONAL CHILDRENS’ PROGRAMME BY A FICTIONAL ACTOR
Cobie Smulders as Robin Scherbatsky as Robin Sparkles in “Space Teens”

BEST ACTING IN A REAL SOAP OPERA BY A FICTIONAL ACTOR*
Matt LeBlanc as Joey Tribbiani as Dr. Drake Ramoray in “Days of Our Lives

*This category potentially viable in the Daytime Fictional Emmys

BEST ACTING-TO-PAY-THE-BILLS IN A FICTIONAL COMMERCIAL BY A FICTIONAL ACTOR
Kaley Cuoco as Penny Parker as Girl With Hemorrhoids inHemorrhoids Cream“

Penny’s Hemorrhoids commercial

BEST AUDITION FOR A FICTIONAL COMMERCIAL BY A FICTIONAL ACTOR
David Cross as Tobias Funke as Man in “Fire Sale

BEST  GREEN SCREEN MONOLOGUE IN A FICTIONAL MOVIE BY A FICTIONAL ACTOR
Jane Krakowski as Jenna Maroney as Jenna in ”Martin Luther King Day”

*This category potentially viable in the Fictional Academy Awards

It’s an honor just to be sort of nominated.

Any others we need to submit to the Academy of Arts and Sciences??
