A Response to Australia’s “anti-sexting” Campaign
by Sade
I’m clutching my pearls, ladies! Last year, Australia launched it’s Think U Know campaign to warn teens against the evils of sexting (more like a typical Tuesday night as far as I’m concerned, amirite? Eh? No? Nobody? Okay). But what was an attempt at public service just came across as slut-shaming. Check out this response video, made by Hungry Beast. No more slut-shaming!
And also, who’s letting these kids keep their cell phones on in class? Obviously this creepy teacher doesn’t care, because the students have his NUMBER to send him PICTURE MESSAGES of his NAKED PUPILS. I dunno, all I’m saying is that in my day, we used pagers. loljk I’m not that old, see, I’m still young enough to use internet lingo and relate to y’all.

Awesome points made here!
Seriously. I always wonder why all the blame is placed on women….
That’s true, whenever I see an anti-sexting ad, girls are the origin of the pictures. What about all the unsolicited dick pix we ladies receive? Hmm?
Maybe I’m just unsettled after having to look at one too many ugly dicks.
When I see things like this, I always feel a close-minded society tries to say “Hey, we told you not to express yourself sexually, see what happens when you do? It’s all your fault!” when the real damage is not caused by the sex, but the people turning it into something to be ashamed of.
Loving to see this perspective reflected here. I always think the whole “don’t take naked pictures of yourself, don’t make a home porn video” premise is incorrectly addressed.
Instead of bashing someone for capturing an intimate moment on camera, trying to live a healthy sex life by expressing their desires and sharing their fantasies with their lovers, people should bash the ones who maliciously inflict damage.

Hydroxycut is sold at conventional retailers, online retailers, and through direct television marketing. Prior to May 2009, its primary ingredients included Garcinia cambogia, Gymnema sylvestre, chromium polynicotinate, caffeine, and green tea. Like many nutraceuticals, according to the New York Times, its efficacy has been questioned and not well-supported by research.[5]
Hydroxycut was promoted as being created and endorsed by doctors. Television advertisements for Hydroxycut featured Jon Marshall, a graduate of Midwestern University’s osteopathic medical school, and still in residency. Hydroxycut was also endorsed by its formulator, Marvin Heuer, Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Florida, and Former Chief Scientific Officer of Iovate Health Sciences, the company that markets the product.
The New York Times reported in 2003 that internal documents from the manufacturer of Hydroxycut indicated that the company buried studies showing that Hydroxycut was ineffective, covered up evidence of cardiac side effects, and even tampered with the documents it submitted as evidence in the lawsuit.[5] An accurate assessment of the safety of dietary supplements in the United States, including Hydroxycut and other weight loss supplements, is hampered by a lack of oversight and regulation of the supplement industry.[2]
Ultimately, scientific evidence of serious side effects from Hydroxycut products accumulated, including liver failure (requiring liver transplantation in some cases), rhabdomyolysis, and at least one death, of a 19-year-old man who used the product. On May 1, 2009, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning to consumers to stop using Hydroxycut immediately because of the risk of serious side effects or death. The manufacturer then recalled the products,[3] although a new formulation of Hydroxycut weight loss products has been created and is being sold.[4]

One other thing is that often individual American states have their particular laws of which affect house owners, which makes it quite hard for the our lawmakers to come up with a whole new set of recommendations concerning foreclosure on home owners. The problem is that each state features own laws which may have interaction in an undesirable manner with regards to foreclosure policies.
