SOCIAL STUDIES A Picture's Worth A Thousand Words

There’s an epidemic on the Internet. My research has been limited, but this plague seems to have roots in the popular blogging platform, Tumblr. Much like the  root system of the mighty Oak, the roots of this pandemic have twisted and prodded their way farther and farther away from their home base, infecting the rest of the Internet.

We’ve all seen them.  Whimsical photographs drenched in sepia tones with words of encouragement photoshopped on top of it. Highly saturated artistic prints of a ballerina with an e.e. cummings quote superimposed over her delicate ankle.

The thing is, it’s bull. All of it. There’s no real life value to most of the advice, it’s all about the  twee aesthetic. Because I love all of you (especially you), I have improved upon this phenomenon and created a few of these pictures for you guys to use whenever you want. Unlike that one photo of a hot air balloon that tells you to reach for the stars, the following advice will actually come in handy some day.
